Industrial Bank plans to provide an intentional financing line of no less than 50 billion RMB to the ecological and environmental protection sector in Fujian Province over the next five years. This cooperation allows Fujian to implement various decisions of the central government, further improve environmental integrity, promote financial support for environmental governance-related cooperation, and maintain the “high quality” of both the environment and development in the province.
Fujian, as the country’s first national ecological civilization experimental zone, hopes to rely on Industrial Bank’s green finance expertise to promote the coordinated development of ecological civilization construction and economic development and to frame Fujian as an example that can be followed. Industrial Bank, starting with this cooperation, expects to strengthen cooperation with the Department, accelerate the innovation of green finance products and services, provide financial momentum for the construction of the Fujian National Ecological Civilization Pilot Zone, and blaze a successful path for green finance to promote sustainable development. Both parties support policies to develop evaluation plans, an environmental rights market, information platform, environmental violation information notification system, etc.
